NetPaste privacy

Local means local.

NetPaste is designed to clean network text without turning that text into a new data source. Your pasted content remains in your browser.

Processing

The NetPaste web app and browser extension process pasted text on your device. Pasted configurations, CLI output, logs, tickets, findings, and edited results are not sent to Protocols & Packets servers.

Collection

NetPaste does not require an account and does not include product analytics or telemetry.

  • No pasted network content is uploaded.
  • No cleaned output is retained by Protocols & Packets.
  • No user profile is created.
  • No webpage content is read by the browser extension.

Browser storage

Temporary application state may exist in browser memory while NetPaste is open. Closing or refreshing the page clears unsaved work. The extension does not request persistent storage for pasted content.
